On behalf of the EU Delegation to the Republic of Korea we are excited to invite you to the 2023 Korea-EU CSO Network Human Rights Conference, themed “Live Diversity: Practice Inclusivity,” on December 7th at Ofelis, Pacific Tower 20th floor, 41 Sejong-daero 9-gil, Jung-gu, Seoul.
The program will be divided into three sessions.
- Identifying intersectionality: the challenges of multiple discriminations
- Diversity and inclusion in education and in the workplace
- Embracing diverse families
Here’s what MAP hopes to learn from participating in this human rights event:
- To learn how to practice intersectionality that must be considered in refugee protection activities
- To learn from other cases how MAP’s equality, diversity, and inclusion policy can be properly implemented rather than remaining declarative
- Furthermore, to think about what we can do to ensure that refugees are considered in social movements that promote diversity and inclusion in education and the workplace
- To explore how to include refugees and migrants in the discourse on the right to found a family for everyone that is unfolding in the Korean civil society.
Anila Noor, who is attending Session 2, is a refugee activist based in Europe. She is going to give a lecture at the training for refugees the following day on December 8.
Please register as soon as possible as seats are limited.
