Calling Expression of Interest
We’re pleased to announce that the first Korea Refugee Forum (KRF) will be held in 8th(or 9th) December, 2025 in Seoul. The forum will be co-hosted by UNHCR Korea, National Human Rights Commission of Korea, and Civil Society Organizations.
A Korea-specific refugee forum provides a timely and vital opportunity – a dedicated platform for dialogue, solidarity, and visibility. This forum will be a space where diverse stakeholders, including the government, civil society, the private sector, refugees, and international organizations, can all participate to discuss key refugee-related agendas in Korea and share their opinions and plans.
As part of our commitment to strengthening efforts to fully reflect the voices of refugees in shaping policies and practices, we are calling for expressions of interest from persons with lived experience of forced displacement or statelessness to participate in the preparations for the KRF.
Parameters of Engagement
From Nov-Dec 2025, selected participants will be resource persons for KRF preparations. Activities may include shaping KRF, advising and engaging in the development of pledges, design of communication products, meetings with key stakeholders, organizing and participating in events, and evaluation.
