About
Migration for Peace in Asia (MAP)
In Asia, many people are forced to leave their homes due to conflict, poverty, persecution, and development. Migration for Peace in Asia (MAP) is a non-profit organization launched in Korea in 2015 to raise awareness and mobilize action among Asians on the issue of forced migration in the region. All of MAP’s activities aim to support the recovery of individuals, families, and communities affected and wounded by forced migration.
We support forced migrants—such as refugees, internally displaced persons, and victims of human trafficking—so they can safely and freely determine their futures. We work to ensure that forced migration does not lead to new conflicts in resettlement countries, but instead contributes to peace and mutual benefit for all.
We strive to be a stepping stone for refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of human trafficking, and other forced migrants so they can dream again.
We envision a world where all individuals can dream of their future safely and with dignity, and make decisions freely.
We believe that increased awareness and support for forced migrants in Korean society will not only benefit each individual migrant, but also contribute to the development of their countries of origin, Korea, and other host societies.

MAP’s CI symbolizes the horizon of solidarity that connects individuals and communities of diverse races, religions, nationalities, social statuses, and political beliefs. The green of peace and coexistence, the blue of transformation, and the red of creativity visually represent MAP’s core values. The “line” motif, representing connection with forced migrants, draws from traditional flag colors used in East Asia. * MAP’s identity was designed by the design studio Everyday Practice .
