On September 16, 2023, Dialogue with Refugees <Talk Talk> will be held together with the Asian Dignity Initiative (ADI)!🤗
This Dialogue with Refugees is being held as the 8th session of ADI’s <Connect Talks: A Place to Live Together>!
Dialogue with Refugees is an event in which refugees living in Korea meet citizens directly as speakers who tell their own life stories, and in which honest communication takes place between refugees and citizens.
What thoughts and feelings have the collective noun “refugee,” statistics such as numbers and percentages, and the images and events in the media brought up in you? Whether you are a person who has come to face refugees or a person in a refugee situation, you may have felt tension, worry and fear. Will you not summon your courage and speak to one another?
ADI, MAP and seven refugee speakers are waiting for you!❤️
Please join us for a moment of peace!🙌🏻

In 2023, ADI is starting a series of solidarity lectures on the themes of “human rights,” “women” and “peace” in order to grow together.
ADI has been recording various life narratives at conflict sites in Asia and has tried to find the links that connect us living in Asia and in Korean society.
In this Connect Talks, named “A Place to Live Together,” we will look at the links of conflict and discrimination that exist within our society, such as the issues of labor, disability, refugees and migration, through various means such as books and documentaries over a total of 10 sessions, and reflect again on the values of coexistence and peace.
Through this program, we hope that we can go beyond reflection to understand and empathize with one another, and rewrite our lives to live together.
※ <Connect Talks; A Place to Live Together> is held as part of the Korea Democracy Foundation’s “2023 Democratic Citizenship Education Cooperative Operation Project,” and is a program jointly hosted by ADI and the Korea Democracy Foundation.
