2026 MAP Consultations with Refugees (Theme : Right to Information for Refugees in the AI Era)

Event

한국어 / français / العربية / فارسی / русский

Over the past seven years, the Refugee News (RN) project has served as a vital platform for delivering information and news to refugees and asylum seekers in Korea. With the AI era, MAP intends to comprehensively review its existing information delivery mechanisms to enhance information accessibility and provide content tailored to the actual needs of refugees.

Therefore, we are organizing a meeting to discuss user experiences with modern technological tools, such as AI search and translation, with refugee panelists, and to discuss the challenges we currently face. Please keep an eye on the upcoming MAP-Refugee meetings and participate actively.

◼ Purpose and Content

It will consist of advisory sessions and focus group interviews regarding the expanded and reorganized Refugee News, including a newly established website, aimed at improving refugees’ access to information.

  • We identify the difficulties refugees currently face in accessing information and evaluate the usefulness and convenience of existing solutions.
  • We review and evaluate the beta version of the newly developed website and collect technical feedback.
  • Discuss and refine the details of the next three-year plan (2026–2029), including distribution channels, newsletters, production of refugee news content, and refugee story archiving.
