Hello, this is Migration to Asia Peace (MAP).
We extend our deepest condolences to those who lost their lives in the Jeju Air passenger plane crush.
Survivors, bereaved families, and even ordinary citizens who witnessed the incident may experience post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). If you are feeling overwhelmed, it’s important to step away from the news for a while and ease back into your daily routine. Take time to remember and mourn. Honoring and remembering social tragedies helps prevent such events from recurring.
In 2024, MAP had the privilege of meeting many refugees.
Despite challenging circumstances, many refugees persevered and carried on with their daily lives. In the midst of Korea’s political unrest, numerous refugees stood in solidarity, drawing on their experiences from their home countries. Their encouragement gave MAP the courage to keep moving forward. We look forward to continuing our meaningful and energetic work with refugees in the new year.
Once again, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the victims’ families and wish a swift recovery to those who were injured.
In the coming year, MAP will continue to walk alongside refugees.
Wishing you a peaceful New Year.
