Dialogue with Refugees: Handong Global School VBB club (12 October 2024)

📍12 October
📍Handong Global School VBB club
📍@Handong Global University

This was held at the exhibition on refugees and migrants,
‘Voice Beyond Borders’, run by students of the Handong Global School VBB (Voice Beyond Borders) club~! Refugee speaker Shaima joined the event that day. It was a precious time in which the students listened to Shaima’s migration story, asked questions freely and communicated more closely :)

In the final sharing activity, we were able to share our answers to ‘If you could change only one thing in this world, what would you change?’ and ‘What is the ideal “coexistence” you have in mind?’~!

🏫From Shaima’s reflections
”In a conversation, I felt successful communication when students showed a sense of responsibility and a desire to understand refugees. In the past, there was little knowledge or stereotypes about refugees, but now I see the younger generation becoming more open-minded. It gives me hope that the world is moving toward positive change.”
