“The struggle is not over: we stand in solidarity with the struggle for women’s liberation in Iran!”
The Iranian government forces women to wear the hijab, and it resorts to violence and even killing when women do not follow the prescribed way of wearing it. On September 16 last year, Mahsa Amini, who had worn her hijab with some hair showing, was killed by the morality police, and her death led to protests across Iran.
We remember Mahsa Amini and the countless women who took off their hijabs and went into the streets for women’s liberation and freedom.
Woman, Life, Freedom! The struggle is not over: we stand in solidarity with the struggle for women’s liberation in Iran!
