🚩When, who, and where?
On Saturday, September 7, let us gather together at the Climate Justice March and change the world. More than 500 civil society organizations, covering the environment, labor, poverty, women, and youth, and more than 20,000 citizens are expected to take part. This year’s slogan for the Climate Justice March is “Change the World, Not the Climate.” The march will take place along the Gangnam-daero area (Gangnam Station – Teheran-ro – Samseong Station), where Samsung Electronics, GS Caltex, POSCO, Google Korea, and others are located.
🚩What is climate justice?
It means thinking about climate change in connection with people. Climate justice calls for protection of, and attention to, the marginalized and vulnerable people who suffer the most from the climate crisis, more than anyone else.
🚩Why hold a Climate Justice March?
We plan to join the march so that all of us can live an equal and dignified life, against what is unequal and unjust.
First, so that no one dies from climate disasters any more,
Second, so that energy can be managed as public renewable energy for the sustainable development of the community, not as a means of making money,
Third, to send the message to stop projects that destroy nature, such as the construction of new airports, cable cars, and the Four Major Rivers Project, we march.
