On Saturday, March 8, Migration to Asia Peace (MAP) held its 2nd Regular General Meeting both online and offline. The general meeting was convened with a total of 62 participants out of 108 members, including 52 by proxy, and Nazeunjari Church (낮은자리교회), one of our supporting organizations, attended in person.
At the general meeting, the audit report for 2024 was adopted, the activity report and the financial report were presented and deliberated, and then the 2025 business plan (draft) and budget (draft) were deliberated. During the deliberation of the 2024 activity report, which covers the core and largest part of the organization’s work, participants discussed the need to systematize and report on the data management and analysis for basic refugee counseling and case management. During the deliberation of the 2024 financial report and the 2025 business plan and budget, participants discussed the organization’s financial stability, including the opinion that a target for increasing regular donors should be set by defining the 2025 donation target as a percentage (%) of total income.
Under other agenda items, an advisory committee was formed. Board member Jeong Bit-na, who had resigned from the board for personal reasons, expressed her willingness to contribute to the organization through expert advice and was appointed as an advisor. It was decided that advisors, including refugee experts, will be appointed later by the representative under delegated authority, and that the board will report on this afterward. In addition, on the matter of commemorating the organization’s 10th anniversary, it was resolved that the board will plan the commemorative event and later submit a proposal for resolution.
