A total of 34 participants stayed for three days and two nights at the Borderline Peace School in Cheorwon, where they heard about the peace movement on the Korean Peninsula and visited places such as the Soisan Observatory and the DMZ area :)

On the second day, DR was held under the title ‘Together, a Human Library’~ Six people from MAP and four from Jeonju YMCA took part as human books for this event. In particular, ‘Majun’, ‘Saleh’, ‘Shaima’, ‘Rezai’ and ‘JB’ joined us as refugee speakers😊

Reflections on <Together, a Human Library>

💡From Rezai’s activity review
”Hello to all friends. From my perspective, peace is a garden where different types of flowers live together.
In these three days, we were together in a friendly atmosphere like garden flowers.”

💡From Jeong Yura’s activity review
”Working at the YMCA, I say the word peace often, but through this camp, I feel this peace has become a word that is more tangible, not just a simple slogan.”

💡From Nangmai’s activity review
”Throughout the journey, I learned to come out of my comfort zone and embrace new experiences. I had the opportunity to meet amazing people from around the world.”

💡From Jo Seoyeon’s activity review
”Coming home and looking back on the happy moments at the peace camp, a gentle smile comes to my face. I was able to learn a great deal from each person’s story. Thank you all and I love you all ❤”

💡From Uletau’s activity review
”As a refugee, I have often felt like a social outcast because of my status. However, during the Camp, I have experienced a sense of peaceful life, dignity, and being valued and respected. I felt just and equal opportunities to participate in all the programs of this camp, which has highlighted what I have missed throughout my refugee life.”
