Dialogue with Refugees: Hankuk University of Foreign Studies class (4 June 2025)

On 4 June we held a event with students of Hankuk University of Foreign Studies. Professor Choi Wongeun of the Department of Political Science and Diplomacy invited MAP to the class , and about 60 students from a variety of majors joined us.

Five people took part as speakers in this Dialogue with Refugees: Chris, Deung Yunbi, Majun, Zahra and Jean Baptiste. Under the theme ‘My Migration Story,’ they shared the situation in their home countries and their experiences of living as refugees in Korea.

On a range of topics, such as perceptions of refugees and migrants in Korean society, institutional support for refugees and refugees’ language learning, we took questions from the students submitted in advance and on the spot, and answered them.
