On 1 November 2019, we successfully held the <Youth and Refugees> talk concert at Moojungryeok Jidae Seodaemun Hongje. In cooperation with this year’s Seoul Youth Week Youth Forum, equality and diversity section, we invited two refugees, Kim Min-hyeok and Chanoknan, and Seo Jin-sol and Kim Seon-a of the Seoul Youth Policy Network.
Director Kim Young-ah served as the host, and we had time to talk about “youth” and “refugees.” It was an occasion to think about what it means to live in Korea as a young person and as a refugee. At times the room burst into laughter, and at times honest stories came out; it was a wonderful time. Young people and refugees seem to have more in common than differences. We hope for a future in which both can speak up as agents, not merely remain objects of policy and attention.
We thank all the audience members who took part and the Seoul Youth Policy Network for creating the occasion.

2019 Seoul Youth Week: When Perspectives Meet, <Youth and Refugees> Talk Concert. A success.
